Schaktab is a Jönköping-based company offering high-quality services in earthworks and civil engineering construction – from smaller detailed planning projects to larger terracing works.

Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by combining solid quality with innovative solutions. With years of experience, we cover the entire process, from design to completion, delivering facilities that meet both today's and tomorrow's requirements.

Our projects are characterized by careful planning, high quality standards, and a strong environmental focus.

The head office is located in Hedenstorp, Jönköping, with local offices in Värnamo and Ödeshög. Today, we have approximately 65 employees and own around 40 machines.

We are members of Byggföretagen and adhere to the applicable collective agreements.

Focus in your role

As a Construction Engineer, you will have a varied role with significant responsibility and many contact points. You work closely with project managers and the production organization, serving as important support throughout the entire project process.

The role combines technical, administrative, and business tasks where you contribute to ensuring projects are executed with the right quality, economy, and structure.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Support the production organization in ongoing contracts
• Work with estimating and tendering
• Work with purchasing and procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Analyze inquiry documents
• Contribute to planning, follow-up, and economic control in projects
• Develop and improve working methods, routines, and processes
• Lead solution-oriented dialogues with customers, suppliers, and partners
• Develop unique business opportunities together with both new and existing customers

This is a role for you who appreciate variety and want to be involved in many parts of the construction process.

What we are looking for

We are looking for you who have experience from the construction or earthworks and civil engineering industry and who thrive in a role where technology, business, and collaboration meet.

You have likely worked as a Construction Engineer, Project Manager, Production Manager, Estimator, or in a similar role where you have gained a good understanding of the various parts of contracting activities.

We believe you have:

• Experience from the construction or earthworks and civil engineering industry
• Knowledge in estimating, project management, and contracting economics
• Good understanding of earthworks and civil engineering works
• Experience reading and interpreting technical and legal documents
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or supplier contacts
• A business perspective and good understanding of project profitability
• The commitment to close the deal after developing a good business opportunity for both Schaktab and the customer
• Computer proficiency in relevant programs for estimating, project follow-up, etc.

If you have experience with excavation, mass handling, and production issues within civil engineering, we see this as meritorious. The most important thing for us is that you understand the contracting business, have strong engagement, and want to be part of developing both projects and working methods.
