Job Description

As a Nursing Assistant, you provide care and support based on each patient's individual needs. The work is characterized by responsibility, commitment, and professional conduct.

Examples of tasks:

• Personal care such as help with hygiene, showering, toilet visits, and dressing
• Medical interventions delegated by licensed personnel, e.g., blood sugar testing and wound dressing
• Practical support in daily life such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and laundry
• Documentation of performed interventions in the journal system
• Contact and collaboration with relatives and other professional groups within the administration

You motivate and encourage patients to maintain their independence and work in close collaboration with, among others, home healthcare, rehabilitation, and social secretaries.

Choose the operation that suits you best

Take a look at our different operations to see where you can make the biggest difference and suit you best:

• Home Care Service: You work independently in the patient's home and travel by bicycle or car. There is an opportunity to work daytime (07.00–15.30) or evening time (15.00–23.00).
• Care and Support Residence: You work in a team and provide care, support, and supervision in our residences. Working hours are scheduled for daytime and evening (06.45–16.00 or 12.00–22.00), which means you need to be able to work day and evening shifts.
• Short-term Residence: You meet patients who stay in one of our residences for a limited period, for example, after a hospital stay. Working hours are scheduled for daytime and evening (06.45–16.00 or 12.00–22.00), which means you need to be able to work day and evening shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have proof of a protected professional title as a Nursing Assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or a certificate of permanent employment as a Nursing Assistant as of 1/7 2023
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have good digital skills and can document in digital systems
• Can cycle, and in some cases have a B driver's license (required for some positions in home care)
• Experience within care and social services is a requirement for short-term residence and night shifts

Meritorious:

• Experience of dementia care and/or person-centered care
• Experience of the systems LifeCare, Procapita, Flexite, Senior Alert, or BPSD
• Multilingualism
