Make a difference. Every day.

Do you want to work in a technical role closely linked to healthcare and contribute to a socially important mission? As a Service Technician here, you work to ensure the operational reliability of medical technology equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance, planning, documentation, and follow-up. We are now looking for you who want to become part of our operations in Malmö.

The Service and Support business area is primarily a technical operations organization tasked with maintaining the operational reliability of Region Skåne's medical technology products (MTP) throughout the entire product lifecycle. We also provide technical expertise and support to various operations and partners within Region Skåne in medical technology-related matters. The medical technical service and support operations are conducted across four units with main offices at the hospital areas in Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, but we also staff other hospitals throughout the region.

Our service technicians within the operations are divided into ten different equipment groups, which include: physiology (therapeutic and diagnostic equipment), infusion pumps, ventilation, mechanics, endoscopy, surgery, ECG/EEG/Defibrillator, patient monitoring, and ultrasound.

All main offices in Skåne are staffed with one or more employees from each group, and you will work closely with colleagues both in other locations and in other equipment groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming three new colleagues to our office in Malmö. The positions are primarily intended as permanent appointments, but a temporary position may also be available depending on operational needs.

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the operational reliability of medical technology equipment within one or more of our equipment groups, through both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will become part of an operation with a wide range of different types of medical technology products, from high-volume equipment to more specialized and technically advanced equipment.

As a Service Technician, you have comprehensive responsibility for the entire product lifecycle, handling everything from installation and configuration to decommissioning according to regional processes and routines. The role includes planning, follow-up, and documentation of service work. You also work with technical advisory, contribute to development projects, and collaborate closely with our healthcare operations and suppliers. The equipment group is led by an Equipment Manager.

In our equipment groups handling high-volume equipment, you work with a large number of units where structure, planning, and continuity are in focus. Here you gain broad technical experience and the opportunity to build deep competence in efficient maintenance work on a larger scale. The work is characterized by a stable flow where you develop your ability to work systematically, create overview, and contribute to high availability in the daily life of care, a crucial part of a well-functioning operation.

In the more niche equipment groups, the variation in tasks is greater, involving both simpler and more technically advanced equipment. Here you combine preventive maintenance with troubleshooting in more acute situations, often with short response times. These groups suit you if you thrive in a dynamic environment where problem-solving, analysis, and quick interventions make a direct difference in the operation.

Regardless of the focus, you will become part of a team where we have good cohesion, support each other across boundaries, and actively work on competence development in the field.

We have operations at all of Region Skåne's hospitals, and work at locations other than your placement may occur if needed. Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must have at least a completed technical upper secondary education, or other education combined with work experience in troubleshooting and technical service work that we assess as equivalent. Additionally, you must have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

Previous experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on medical technology equipment is strongly meritorious for the position. It is also advantageous if you have a technical university or college education, especially if you have studied a program with a medical technology focus.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are accustomed to working in a process-oriented manner, solving technical problems, and documenting your work. You thrive in a dynamic environment where conditions can change quickly. As a person, you are structured, have a high service spirit, take initiative, and are well aware of your strengths and limitations. Furthermore, you are responsible, meticulous, reliable, and have good collaboration skills with both colleagues and customers/suppliers. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply rolling selection, so you are warmly welcome to submit your application today. We plan to conduct interviews on-site in Malmö during week 26.
