Organization Description

The Department of Care and Social Services consists of five units: Enen, Forsgläntan, Älvgården, Dementia, and Short-term Care. Älvgården's dementia care facility consists of two floors and is located on the rear side of Gällivare Hospital.

The Department of Care and Social Services operates housing for elderly individuals with extensive care needs according to the Social Services Act. We offer a secure and individually adapted housing solution with access to nursing care and supervision around the clock. Our work is based on the individual's needs, wishes, and self-determination. Through a person-centered approach, we ensure that every resident receives an individual implementation plan. The operation works systematically with quality, documentation, and follow-up in accordance with current legislation and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you play a central role in the care and support of the residents in your capacity as a contact person. The work is based on the individuals' needs and implementation plans, as well as the organization's guidelines and goals. Your tasks include supporting and assisting residents with hygiene, medication, dressing and undressing, and social activities. Your work is vital in ensuring that residents have a good and secure life. The role also includes administrative duties such as documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education, experience, or interest in working within dementia care. It is important that you can collaborate, see the user, be flexible, and take personal responsibility. You must be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. Personal suitability is of great importance.

In accordance with the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent position, 100% day/evening/weekend. Probation period may apply.
