Job Description
To meet the increased need for power transmission in the transmission grid, there is a need for reinvestment and new construction of a large number of facilities within the power sector. To ensure the implementation of these projects, the team needs to be strengthened with a senior technical specialist who will have a leading role throughout the project's implementation.
The consultant will have a leading role in ongoing and upcoming projects regarding reinvestment and new construction of technical facilities within the transmission grid.
Responsibilities
- Follow up that facilities are built according to established technical requirements.
- Review contractors' technical documentation.
- Participate in contract inspections.
- Participate in testing, including FAT and SAT.
- Drive technical issues internally as well as in dialogue with suppliers and contractors during the project's implementation.
- Act as a technical coordinating resource between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of work experience in the FACTS technology area.
- At least 10 years of experience in commissioning series compensation facilities in a leading position.
- At least 10 years of experience in control system construction for series compensation facilities.
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical specialist for facility projects representing the client.
Merits
- At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting in software-based control systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical design for FACTS facilities.
Start Date: 2026-12-01
End Date: Latest 2031-12-31.
Scope: 100% full-time.
Location: Client's office in Västerås.
Remote work may occur up to 50% of working hours. The exact scope is decided in consultation with the client according to operational needs and may be adjusted during the assignment period.
The consultant is expected to travel within the assignment. Travel to the facility site and supplier premises occurs frequently in connection with meetings, FAT, SAT, and measures in commissioned facilities.
Security Clearance: Security clearance and register check are required.
