Friday is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager position at a globally leading industrial company in Västerås. Here, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical interest with structure, coordination, and leadership in an environment where production, machinery, and improvement work are at the center.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Västerås, specializing in large electrical machines such as motors and generators.

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with production and drive projects that make a tangible difference in daily operations. Initially, the projects will primarily focus on machinery acquisition, production equipment, and improvements to the production environment. You will receive support from experienced colleagues, but you will also have your own responsibility for maintaining structure, progress, and coordination.

This is a role for you who may not yet have held the title of Project Manager, but who has already shown that you can create order, drive things forward, and get others on board. Perhaps you have led a group project, taken responsibility in a thesis, coordinated activities in student organizations, been a team captain, worked as a foreman during a summer job, or been the one who naturally took charge when something needed to be done.

• Understand needs in production and translate them into concrete projects
• Drive projects related to machinery, equipment, and production improvements
• Coordinate installation, procurement, and handover to production
• Communicate with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal functions
• Create structure around schedules, milestones, budgets, and follow-ups

• Hold a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in fields such as mechanical engineering, industrial economics with a production focus, production technology, or similar
• Have practical experience from industry, production, or a technical environment through examples such as summer jobs, internships, thesis work, or project work

You will work close to production, understand the needs on-site, and be involved when new machinery, equipment, and working methods are introduced. This makes the role concrete, technical, and close to business operations.
