About the role

We are looking for you who want to lead one or more cross-functional project teams with representatives from engineering, production, maintenance, logistics, and quality. In this role, you are responsible for keeping control over the project's scope, schedule, and budget, while actively managing activities and risks. You build engagement and ownership in the team to ensure that project goals are met, and you define clear milestones and follow-up points to continuously monitor the project's success. You will also prioritize, delegate, and follow up on tasks within the project group to minimize risks and ensure deliveries, as well as communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. An important part of the role is to report the project's progress and status to the steering group and to ensure that projects are carried out according to plan, on time, at the right cost, and with world-class quality.

At Volvo Group Trucks Operations in Köping, gearboxes for trucks and heavy construction machinery are machined and assembled for several of the group's business areas. The facility is a transmission center and an important part of our continued journey towards world-leading, sustainable transport solutions. Your assignment

How you will make a difference

Who are you?

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational execution, a strong sense of responsibility, and a structured and results-oriented way of working. You have good communication skills and experience working with various stakeholders, as well as experience leading and motivating teams in a technical environment. Furthermore, you have a natural drive to improve and optimize processes.

We would like you to have:

  • A university degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in machining and/or assembly within the industry.
  • Experience in project management and working with external suppliers.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and experience working with project management tools.
