We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project Manager to join the team in Västerås, at both junior and senior levels, to strengthen the organization in line with the company's continued growth.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for driving distribution projects within the energy sector from start to delivery, with responsibility for time, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You lead project teams and contractors, ensuring that projects are executed according to contract, with high quality and a clear business focus. The role involves overall responsibility where you are involved throughout the entire project, from planning and initiation to execution and follow-up.

Your main areas of responsibility:

  • Drive and ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams as well as external contractors.
  • Responsible for budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up.
  • Work with construction contracts, ETA (ÄTA), and risk management.
  • Ensure that projects are driven according to agreed terms and current legislation.
  • Build and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of working methods and structure as the organization grows.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who have experience in project management within energy or related technical operations and who are confident in taking broad responsibility in projects where much needs to be driven forward.

For the senior level, we are looking for you who have approximately 10+ years of project management experience. For the junior or mid-level, we are looking for you who have approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience, as the client has a need to strengthen the team with several different experience levels.

You have:

  • Experience in project management within the energy sector or similar technical field.
  • Responsibility for project delivery including schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Good understanding of contract law and experience in applying it in practice.
  • Experience working with contracts, agreements, and risk management.
  • A technical background, such as an engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Structured, cost-conscious, and with good process discipline.
  • Operational and thrive in a role where you drive projects close to the operations.
  • Good communication skills and thrive in collaboration with both teams and customers.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Availability to travel in the role.

We believe you are structured, communicative, and confident in driving projects forward. You have a holistic perspective and can prioritize and make decisions even when conditions change. You thrive in collaboration with others, are comfortable taking responsibility, have the possibility to travel in the role, and are fluent in Swedish and English.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience from hydroelectric or industrial projects.
  • Experience working in growth companies or change environments.
  • Good knowledge of standard agreements such as AB 04 and ABT 06.
