Friday is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager position at a globally leading industrial company in Västerås. Here you will have the chance to combine your technical interest with structure, coordination, and leadership in an environment where production, machinery, and improvement work are at the center.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Västerås, specializing in large electrical machines such as motors and generators.

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with production and drive projects that make a tangible difference in daily operations. Initially, the projects will primarily focus on machinery acquisition, production equipment, and improvements in the production environment. You will receive support from experienced colleagues, but also take personal responsibility for maintaining structure, progress, and coordination.

This is a role for you who may not yet have held the title of Project Manager, but who has already shown that you can create order, drive things forward, and engage others. Perhaps you have led a group project, taken responsibility in a thesis, coordinated activities in student organizations, been a team captain, worked as a foreman during a summer job, or been the one who naturally took charge when something needed to be done.

• Understand production needs and translate them into concrete projects
• Drive projects related to machinery, equipment, and production improvements
• Coordinate installation, procurement, and handover to production
• Maintain contact with production, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and other internal functions
• Create structure around schedules, milestones, budgets, and follow-up

• Hold a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in fields such as mechanical engineering, industrial economics with a production focus, production technology, or similar
• Have practical experience from industry, production, or a technical environment through examples such as summer jobs, internships, thesis projects, or project work
