Activity Coordinator

In connection with the activity requirement introduced in the summer of 2026, Piteå Municipality is now seeking two Activity Coordinators for this assignment. The role has a clear and socially significant purpose: to ensure that individuals receiving financial assistance have access to relevant and meaningful activities that lead towards the goal of self-sufficiency.

The Coordinator has overall responsibility for coordinating the work between the Support for Livelihood, Employment and Integration unit, Adult Education, and the providers of activity places, both within the municipality and in collaboration with local businesses. The role involves creating efficient workflows, ensuring quality, and contributing to an effective and legally secure way of working.

This is a key role for you who want to work in a structured coordinating function and contribute to the municipality's work being carried out effectively and purposefully.

About the position

As the Coordinator for the activity requirement, you are responsible for holding the entire process together from completed mapping to the implementation of activities. The role is organizationally placed within the Support for Livelihood unit.

You work both operationally and strategically, focusing on workflows, coordination, and quality.

Responsibilities

The role includes, among other things:

• Coordinating and developing activity places within municipal operations and in collaboration with local businesses.
• Ensuring that placements are made promptly and without unnecessary waiting times.
• Developing routines and workflows to ensure a functioning process.
• Implementing improvements in working methods.
• Contributing to an equitable and legally secure application of the activity requirement.
• Evaluating at both organizational and individual levels.
• Providing feedback to the responsible unit manager.

As the legislation is new, the responsibilities may change over time.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant university degree in social work, such as Social Work (Socialen), Behavioral Sciences, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience in collaborating with various actors.
• Good ability to work in a structured and independent manner.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Thrives in a role where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life.

Merits include:

• Good knowledge of the municipality's various operations and the business community.
• Knowledge of financial assistance and activity requirements.
• Experience in development or improvement work.

A B-class driver's license is a requirement.

More about the position

The position is a project employment starting 2026-09-01 to 2028-12-31, full-time.

Start date can be agreed upon.
