We are all different. And that is wonderful! We do not hire people based on a specific template, but on who you are. For us, drive and personality are more important than experience and background. Things are going well for us, and we are growing rapidly. Now we are looking for more cheerful employees with the right attitude and willingness to develop!

About the job

We are looking for you who like food, people, and sales and want to become part of our wonderful team at Willys Sala Ängshagen! The role essentially means that you contribute to our customers being able to shop for good and sustainable food at really good prices.

Employment type: Permanent, full-time. Probation period applies.

Start date: 2026-09-01 or according to agreement.

Working hours: You will vary between working early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements: Upper secondary education, good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written). We welcome applicants of all ages, but with reference to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 chapter 8 and appendix 2, we do not hire persons under 18 years of age due to the nature of the tasks. You need to have previous experience from leadership roles, preferably within retail.

Here is a bit more about the role:

  • You are part of the store's management team, with the store manager as your direct supervisor, and you lead and plan the operations for the Colonial team. Naturally, you actively participate in the daily operational store work.
  • You work with a clear goal to develop the store's sales, profitability, and other important key figures. You also participate in the work of creating and following up on the store's business plan.
  • As Team Leader Colonial, you are responsible for a very important part of the store's product flow. Your team is responsible for sales planning, placing orders, and ensuring the store is sales-oriented and seasonally relevant.
  • E-commerce also falls within your area of responsibility, and with the help of the store's e-commerce coordinator, you are responsible for driving and developing the store's e-commerce offering.
  • You have personnel responsibility for the employees in your team and are therefore responsible for recruitment, scheduling, and onboarding, among other things.
  • You lead, motivate, and develop your team and contribute to employees developing and performing to their full potential.
  • You are a role model in working to meet our customers with knowledge, attention to detail, and a big smile.

About us

For us, the right attitude and willingness to develop are more important than experience and education. We work together as a team, as we see that a really good collaboration gives the best result – while also having fun at work. A bit more about us:

  • We work with concept control and chain operation – there are clear routines and structures in place, and you will not need to reinvent the wheel. This frees up time for you to focus on developing your team and department.
  • You will be offered many ways to grow and develop in your leadership role. The majority of our store managers have once worked as team leaders.
  • Willys is one of the industry's most successful companies, and we continue to grow. And because we are growing, you can too. As a large company, there are many opportunities to develop in your leadership role with us, including through a range of different training programs.

About you

You like food, people, and sales just as much as we do! Willys is constantly growing and developing, and you like to do that too. You like to learn new things, enjoy being challenged, and are driven by taking on greater responsibility. It is also great if:

  • You are driven by inspiring and engaging your employees, you are good at creating a positive work climate, and continuously developing your team.
  • You thrive in result-oriented environments where the pace is high, you have strong personal drive, good problem-solving skills, and do not shy away from making decisions when required.
  • You like people, put the customer's needs first, and are good at getting people on board – both customers and employees.
  • You are good at communicating and can develop your team and store through feedback and coaching.
  • You need to have previous experience from leadership roles in a service profession, and it is a clear advantage if you have experience from the grocery retail industry.
