The healthcare organization of the Care and Elderly Affairs Department consists of approximately 300 employees distributed across ten healthcare teams. Do you want to make a difference? We are now looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and a licensed occupational therapist seeking a fun, developmental, and meaningful job. We look forward to getting to know you and hearing about your commitment, competence, thoughts, and ideas so that together we can provide our patients with the best possible care, now and in the future.
About the OperationsYou will work in a team-based and cross-professional manner together with other physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as nurses, pharmacists, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation assistants.
Here, you will have the opportunity to grow in your role, whether you are a recent graduate seeking your first job as a licensed professional or if you have some experience in the profession.
Currently, we are looking for physiotherapists and occupational therapists for our short-term care unit at Sörmarksgatan 207. The unit receives patients from across the municipality, including those needing rehabilitation after hospital stays, patients with complex care needs, and patients in the end-of-life phase. Here, you will find a varied and developmental job with wonderful colleagues.
ResponsibilitiesWith the patient's best interest in focus, you work clinically to investigate, assess, and implement physiotherapeutic and occupational therapeutic interventions. As a licensed practitioner, you are responsible for documenting the interventions that are planned, carried out, and evaluated. You are also responsible for prescribing and fitting assistive devices. Guiding nursing staff in various care situations, such as during transfers and when handling assistive devices, is also part of the clinical mandate.
Creating and maintaining good relationships is an important part of the role, and you will collaborate closely with your team, the department's social secretaries, managers, and nursing staff.
Dialogue with relatives and with staff at health centers and hospitals is also a natural part of your workday.
We work Monday to Friday. Here, you have flexibility in your day as you, based on operational needs and in dialogue with your colleagues, largely plan and structure your workday yourself. Like us, you value well-being and participation for our patients, and you have good opportunities to follow the results of your patients' rehabilitation over time in their home environment.
When you start your employment, you will receive an individually tailored introduction that gives you good prerequisites and a secure and stable start to your new assignment. We also offer contact with a mentor after you have completed your introduction, as we know that the opportunity to turn to an experienced and knowledgeable physiotherapist or occupational therapist for advice and support is appreciated, especially for those who are completely new to the professional role.
QualificationsYou are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare.
Experience working as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist is meritorious, as is work within municipal home care.
Documented training in transfer techniques (manual transfers and transfers with patient lifts) is also meritorious, as is supervisor training and experience in educating nursing staff.
Your approach is coaching and pedagogical, and you have a good manner of dealing with people. Our team-based way of working also requires that you are engaged, flexible, responsible, and good at collaborating.
Your ability to plan, structure, and prioritize your work gives you good prerequisites for succeeding in your assignment and contributes to creating an efficient operation. You are accustomed to working with IT-based medical record systems and have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A category B driver's license is required for all positions. Before an offer of employment, you must provide an extract from the police's criminal record register.
