The regional pediatric department employs approximately 165 people. The department comprises inpatient care, outpatient clinics, day care, play therapy, and SSIH Children. On our wards, we care for all children and adolescents under 18 years of age who require inpatient treatment. Our clinics receive children and adolescents up to 18 years old with medical conditions; we conduct approximately 18,000 physician visits, 7,500 nurse visits, and 3,500 dietitian visits per year at the regional level. The medical staff at the Pediatric Clinic in Sundsvall consists of 20 physicians.

We are now looking for a specialist physician to join our team! The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

Here you will have a varied job where the patients are children of different ages with varying diagnoses. You will work together with many competent colleagues who are happy to share and contribute valuable knowledge for your further medical career.

• As a specialist physician, you will work in both planned and emergency activities.
• You will work alternately on our two inpatient wards for neonatology and general pediatrics, as well as at our outpatient clinics.
• You are expected to take an active part in teamwork in one of our diagnosis-related teams, where you will have the opportunity to develop and deepen your knowledge. On-call duties during nights and weekends are included in the job responsibilities.

• Are a specialist physician in Pediatric Medicine.
• Have completed a supervisor training for physicians.
• Have completed your specialist training (ST) in Pediatric Medicine.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Have a valid B-driver's license.

• Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing.

• Collaborative spirit.

• Personal maturity.
• Structured.

• Scientific merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of academic degree, e.g., Doctor of Medicine or Docent.
  • Complete publication list.
• Pedagogical merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate/documentation of teaching experience.
  • Certificate of supervisor course (basic or specialist training).
• Clinical and other merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of sub-specialization.
  • Certificate/documentation of leadership roles and/or operational development.

Verification of medical license and all relevant specialist certificates via the National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP) will take place when the application is received.
