About the Role

Regional Healthcare Psychiatry and Habilitation coordinates regional healthcare for adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as habilitation in Region Västernorrland. The regional healthcare activities are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as at several clinics located in various towns in the county. The area has approximately 700 employees. Habilitation in Västernorrland is a county-wide operation with approximately 100 employees located in Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik.

The target group for habilitation is people with permanent disabilities, where the largest groups are autism, developmental disabilities, and cerebral palsy. We work in child/adolescent/adult teams with an interdisciplinary orientation representing medical, psychological, and social approaches. The different professional categories represented in the teams include occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, medical secretaries, psychologists, physiotherapists, and nurses.

We are now looking for a psychologist for the youth/adult habilitation unit in Sundsvall. The position is a full-time one-year temporary assignment with a start date of 2026-08-17 or as agreed.

Responsibilities

• Neuropsychiatric investigations
• Consultation
• Develop working methods
• Diagnostic training for autism and ID (Intellectual Disability)
• Collaboration with other healthcare providers and organizations

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed psychologist
• Have a valid B-class driver's license

The following qualifications are meritorious for the position

• Work experience from various psychological treatment methods
• Work experience from neuropsychiatric investigations
• Previous experience working with the target group
