The county-wide Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine department employs approximately 165 people. The department comprises inpatient care, outpatient clinics, day care, play therapy, and SSIH Barn (Specialized Support for Infants and Young Children). On our wards, we treat all children and adolescents under 18 years of age who require inpatient care. Our clinics receive children and adolescents up to 18 years of age with medical conditions. We perform approximately 18,000 doctor visits, 7,500 nurse visits, and 3,500 dietitian visits per year within the county operation. The medical group at the Children's Clinic in Sundsvall consists of 20 doctors.

We are now looking for a Specialist Physician to join our team! The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.

Here you will have a varied job where the patients are children of different ages with various diagnoses. Here you work together with many competent colleagues who are happy to share and contribute with valuable knowledge for your continued medical career.

• As a Specialist Physician with us, you work in both planned and emergency operations.
• You will work alternately on our two inpatient wards for neonatology and general pediatrics, as well as at our outpatient clinics.
• You are expected to take an active part in teamwork in one of our diagnosis-related teams, where you get the opportunity to develop and deepen your knowledge. Night and weekend on-call duties are included in the responsibilities.

• Are a Specialist Physician in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
• Have medical supervisor training.
• Have completed your Specialist Training (ST) in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
• Have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Have a valid B-class driver's license.

• Have good skills in English, both spoken and written.

• Personal maturity.
• Structured.

The following documentation must be attached to your application according to the handling order for expert assessment when employing specialist-trained physicians at academic healthcare units and university healthcare units:

• Scientific merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of academic degree, e.g., Doctor of Medicine or Docent.
  • Complete publication list.
• Pedagogical merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate/documentation of teaching experience.
  • Certificate of supervisor course (basic or specialist training).
• Clinical and other merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of sub-specialization.
  • Certificate/documentation of leadership roles and/or operational development.

Verification of medical license and all relevant specialist certificates via the National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP) will take place when the application is received.
