About the role

At our inpatient ward within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) in Sundsvall, we care for children and young people up to 18 years of age with severe or acute psychiatric conditions requiring inpatient psychiatric care. Patients are treated according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) or the Law on Mental Health Care (LPT). They are cared for together with their guardians. The ward is staffed by care assistants, nurses, and doctors. The care team also includes social workers, psychologists, educators, dietitians, and physiotherapists.

We are now looking for a care assistant for day shifts to join our team! We offer individual induction, both theoretical and practical. The position is a full-time temporary assignment during the summer of 2026. Start date by agreement until 2026-08-31. Possibility of extension exists.

Responsibilities

As a care assistant with us, you will, among other things, work with:

• Psychiatric nursing care, monitoring health status, assessing care needs, and conducting support conversations
• Documentation of nursing observations
• Supervision and being available for patients and guardians

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska), have other relevant education suitable for psychiatric care, or are currently studying to become a doctor or nurse
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you

• Have work experience within psychiatry
• Have further education within psychiatry
• Have additional language skills
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B)
