Do you want to take a key role in an international energy company where you have the opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise and drive improvement work that creates long-term value? We are now looking for a senior and self-driven accounting consultant who wants to help develop accounting structures, ensure process quality, and create sustainable working methods in a complex and expanding business.
What do we offer?
- A qualified assignment where you can combine accounting expertise with development and improvement work.
- The opportunity to work in an international and expanding organization within the energy sector.
- A company in change where you will have significant responsibility and mandate to influence accounting-related processes and structures.
- A varied role with a focus on both operational and development-oriented issues.
- A social and inclusive workplace with a strong team spirit and close collaboration between colleagues.
You will become part of an international company in the energy sector with operations including hydropower. The company is characterized by an entrepreneurial spirit, collaboration, and a strong desire to develop together. Initiative is valued here, and you will have the opportunity to contribute your specialist competence in a business where quality and improvement work are high on the agenda. More information about the client will be provided upon personal contact.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who have a solid background in qualified accounting and who enjoy combining accounting competence with process development. You have likely worked as a senior accounting consultant, accounting specialist, or accounting manager and have experience from property, energy, or other asset-intensive operations where work with fixed assets was a central part of the role.
Requirements and qualifications
- Several years of experience in qualified accounting work.
- Extensive experience working with fixed asset registers and component depreciation.
- Very good knowledge of the K3 accounting framework.
- Experience in ensuring quality, structuring, and developing accounting processes.
- Experience in complex accounting environments with multiple companies and reporting structures.
- Experience in improvement projects within the finance and accounting area.
- Good system proficiency and experience with Dynamics as well as Power BI.
- Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
To succeed in the role, we see that you are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented. You thrive working independently, have a quality-conscious approach to work, and a natural ability to create order in complex contexts. At the same time, you are communicative and appreciate collaborating with both the finance department and other parts of the business.
What does the role entail?
In the role of Senior Accounting Consultant, you will have a central function in strengthening and developing accounting structures and financial processes within the business. The assignment has a clear focus on quality assurance, efficiency, and long-term improvements rather than routine accounting.
You will work closely with the finance function in Stockholm as well as having international contact points within the organization. A large part of the assignment involves ensuring quality and structure in the fixed asset registers related to the company's power plants, as well as developing processes and functionality in Dynamics and reporting structures.
Examples of tasks
- Identify and handle remaining accounting-related legacy issues.
- Ensure quality and further develop fixed asset registers according to K3.
- Ensure correct allocation of fixed assets per power plant and component.
- Develop and streamline accounting and reporting processes.
- Drive improvements in Dynamics and related financial systems.
- Improve reporting structures and mapping processes.
- Ensure quality and efficiency in international reporting.
- Support the business during company changes, integrations, and other structural changes.
After the first six months, you are expected to have contributed to clear and sustainable improvements in accounting structures, streamlined working methods within the finance function, and ensured that the fixed asset registers maintain a high and quality-assured standard.
The assignment is a consultancy position starting after the summer and initially lasting approximately six months. This recruitment process includes a background check that compiles previous public criminal records and financial credit information. Interested? Send in your application as soon as possible as the position may be filled before the final application date.
