Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that is far from average!
The Health and Care Administration is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as supporting their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and secure way of life – around the clock. We are 2,500 employees who, in our various roles, provide support and care to the citizens who need it.
The Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Controller for the Health and Care Administration who wants to contribute to long-term sustainable economics and business development.
In this role, you are responsible for planning, monitoring, and analyzing the economy and operations within the administration. You work closely with business managers and unit managers, supporting them in understanding the connections between operations, personnel, and economics. Your assignment is both operational and strategic, ensuring quality in budgeting and monitoring processes while contributing to the development of financial management over time.
As a Controller, you participate in the administration's overall financial management together with the Finance Manager and other controllers. The work covers budgeting, forecasts, monthly and interim reports, as well as the annual report. You prepare decision-making materials, analyze deviations, and identify areas for development that strengthen the achievement of operational goals. The role also includes monitoring contracts and procurement from an economic perspective and collaborating with the procurement unit.
Your main tasks include:
- supporting managers in budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring
- analyzing operational and personnel economic connections and proposing measures
- preparing decision-making materials and processing cases for management and committees
- participating in the development of financial management, models, and monitoring tools
- ensuring quality in reporting, accounting work, and economic analyses.
In this role, you also collaborate with HR, quality functions, and other support functions to create a holistic perspective in management. The role involves many interfaces and an active contribution to using economics as a tool for developing operations.
What We Offer You
You will become part of the Economy and Property unit, where three controllers, one accounting economist, and a unit manager responsible for premises supply and caretaking work. You have close collaboration and meet regularly to discuss common issues and develop working methods. The assignment is complex and socially important, where you contribute to ensuring that care and support services are provided with high quality and long-term economic sustainability.
With us, you will have a qualified and developmental assignment where you have the opportunity to influence and shape the role based on operational needs. You are given room for competence development, networking, and relevant training. When operations allow, there is an opportunity for remote work.
You Who Apply to Us
You have an academic degree with an economic focus. You have several years of experience in qualified economic work, for example within controlling, where you have independently worked with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring.
Other requirements for the position:
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting economic data.
- Experience in preparing decision-making materials for managers or management groups.
- Experience working with Excel and economic systems.
- Experience in documenting and communicating in Swedish.
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Experience working in municipal operations.
- Experience in personnel economics and staffing economics.
- Experience working in a large organization.
- Experience working with resource distribution models.
- Experience working according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) related to contracts and procurement.
As a Controller, you are analytical and structured. You can immerse yourself in complex connections between operations, personnel, and economics and break them down into clear conclusions. Through a methodical approach, you ensure quality in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring, even during periods of high tempo such as year-end closing.
You are collaborative and confident in your profession. The role involves many dialogues with managers and support functions, and you need to be able to explain economic connections in a pedagogical way while standing firm in your analyses. You take initiative for improvements and actively contribute to developing financial management in the administration.
Note: In this recruitment, we do not accept personal cover letters. Instead, you will answer a number of selection questions in connection with your application.
