The Unit for Industrial Development and Preparedness is responsible for building knowledge, developing, and participating in policy development for industrial policy at the national and EU levels, as well as implementing measures to achieve the industrial policy goals in this area. The unit is also responsible for tasks within the mandate as the preparedness authority for industry.

About the position

The position is intended to strengthen Tillväxtverket in its tasks within total defense and preparedness, with a particular focus on industry. You will be involved in building up, establishing, and implementing the unit's tasks as the preparedness authority for industry. You will work both independently and in teams with colleagues from various parts of the agency, in networks, and in close collaboration with other authorities, the business community, as well as organizations and other relevant actors.

The mandate to strengthen industry's capacity in the event of crisis and war involves, among other things, monitoring, analyzing, and contributing to raising industry's ability to function during crises and wartime. You will contribute to regular reporting and external communication, develop forms of collaboration regarding societal vital functions and supply preparedness, and design and establish processes, routines, exercises, etc.

The role also includes outward-facing work, such as representing the agency in various contexts, organizing events, and actively spreading knowledge that strengthens the development, competitiveness, and preparedness of industry in Sweden.

Since the mandate is still in a setup phase, there are significant opportunities to influence its implementation.

The position is security-classified and requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.

Your place of work is: Stockholm or Östersund.

Travel is included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college education equivalent to at least three years of study.
• Several years of work experience from business, industry, or business development in industry organizations or similar.
• Experience working independently and in a development-oriented manner.
• Experience in analyzing and drawing conclusions in work contexts, and adapting them to the implementation of tasks.
• Ability to familiarize yourself with different regulations to carry out assignments.
• Competence in handling digital tools and working in digital environments.
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

The following are meritorious:

• Work experience within total defense and preparedness tasks, such as risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning, etc.
• Work requiring an understanding of industrial issues and industry actors.
• Knowledge of business promotion organizations.
• Work experience from politically governed organizations.
• Experience with project management and/or project development.
• Experience in planning, implementing, reporting, and following up on assignments and measures.
• Experience in communication work and leading workshops, etc.
