Teacher for After-School Center – Länghemskolan, Tranemo

Responsibilities

As a teacher at the after-school center, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on education in the after-school center in accordance with the goals of the curriculum. You create a safe, stimulating, and meaningful activity where the students' learning, development, and well-being are at the center.

You work to offer varied education that takes advantage of students' interests, strengthens their social skills, and promotes creativity, responsibility, and cooperation. You contribute to creating a red thread between the school day and the after-school center, collaborating closely with class teachers and other staff to give students a cohesive day.

The position also includes teaching physical education for grades 4–6.

You have clear and secure leadership within the student group and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in the after-school center, or alternatively, are educated as a youth worker/pedagogue. For the position, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the after-school center's mission and regulatory documents and can translate them into practice.

To succeed in the role, you are a secure and clear leader with good pedagogical insight. You have the ability to create structure, build positive relationships, and establish an inclusive learning environment where all students feel seen and included. Furthermore, you are creative and engaged, with the ability to create stimulating activities through play, creation, and movement. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians, while also taking responsibility for developing the activity forward.
