Pharmacist at Apotea – Prescription Handling & Advisory Services

Do you want to work in a modern and digital pharmacy environment where you can focus entirely on your pharmaceutical duties? We are now combining our previous pharmacist roles and seeking pharmacists for a broad and varied position that combines prescription dispensing with advisory services and customer support via phone and email.

At Apotea, you are an important part of the pharmaceutical team and play a key role in ensuring safe and secure medication use for our customers. You interact with many customers every day – entirely without face-to-face meetings – and become one of Apotea’s most important external representatives.

About the Role

As a pharmacist at Apotea, you have a varied workday where you switch between prescription handling, pharmaceutical control, and customer advisory services. The work is digital and takes place in Sweden’s most modern dispensing system as well as in our customer service channels.

You handle incoming prescriptions, make pharmaceutical assessments, and verify orders prior to dispatch. At the same time, you are available to customers who contact us with questions regarding their medications, dosage, side effects, interactions, stock notifications, or self-care. The advisory services are primarily conducted via phone or email and are always tailored to the customer's individual needs.

The role also involves you:

• Making independent pharmaceutical decisions within the framework of current regulations.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues to resolve more complex cases.
• Contributing to maintaining high quality, patient safety, and good service in every customer interaction.

You have many customer contacts during the day, but you work in a calm office environment where the focus is on quality and pharmaceutical precision rather than sales.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing and pharmaceutical control of customer orders.
• Advising customers on prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, and self-care.
• Contact with customers via phone and email.
• Ensuring safe and secure medication use.
• Handling, for example, license and APL (Approved Product List) orders.
• Contributing to quality work and the development of the business.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you:

• Are a licensed pharmacist (receptarie) or pharmacist (apotekare).
• Have excellent knowledge of Swedish and can communicate in English.
• Are proficient with computers.
• Have a few years of work experience (meritorious, preferably from e-commerce, pharmacy, or customer service).

As a person, you are service-oriented, responsible, and solution-focused. You have a strong commitment to pharmacy and health, take initiative, and are eager to learn new things. You are happy to share your knowledge and value collaboration to provide our customers with the best possible service together.

Our unit on Sveavägen at Norrtull started in autumn 2022 and is characterized by a fresh start, innovation, and collaboration. Here, pharmacists and logistics staff work closely together in modern premises. Today, we are nearly 80 people on site and continue to grow.

Location and Employment Terms

• Location: Stockholm, Sveavägen (Norrtull).
• Working hours: Daytime, Monday–Friday.
• Employment type: Permanent full-time position, with a six-month probation period.
• Other: Collective agreement, generous wellness allowance, competence time, and staff discounts.
