DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKPLACE

The goal of gender equality work in Sweden is for women and men to have equal power and opportunities to shape society and their own lives. The work covers issues such as influence, economy, health, education, work, and physical integrity. At its core, gender equality work is about redistributing power and resources to achieve these goals.

The Swedish National Board for Gender Equality (Jämställdhetsmyndigheten), established on January 1, 2018, is responsible for ensuring that the government's gender equality policy is implemented effectively. The agency's task is to coordinate, monitor, and provide support in various ways within the field of gender equality. From January 1, 2026, the Swedish National Board for Gender Equality took over the national responsibility for work against honor-related violence and oppression (NCH), which previously resided with the County Administrative Board of Östergötland. Currently, work is underway to build a new operation within the agency, creating a long-term and sustainable structure and organization for this area.

The agency is now seeking two lawyers.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/TASKS

As a lawyer at the Swedish National Board for Gender Equality, you will work with the agency's administrative law issues. You will work within the Legal and Economics unit, primarily providing guidance and support on legal matters. You will be part of a group with other lawyers and colleagues who work with information management, procurement, tendering, and information security.

The work includes issues related to administrative law, public documents, procurement and tendering, OSL (Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act), and other administrative law matters. You will also draft and quality-assure various types of documents, such as agency decisions, policy documents, consultation responses, and other statements. You will also participate in collaborative projects and conduct training initiatives.
