The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is seeking an analyst to participate in building the centre's operations at the Swedish Defence Intelligence Agency (FRA). Your Mission

As an analyst in the Strategic Analysis Unit at NCSC, you will work with cybersecurity from a societal perspective. The role focuses strongly on how cybersecurity incidents affect society at large. By combining technical, legal, and social science perspectives, you will contribute to mapping current challenges and identifying measures to strengthen society's overall resilience.

Your main tasks include:

• contributing to, developing, and quality-assuring strategic analysis products,
• planning, preparing, and leading assigned strategic analysis processes or products,
• contributing to method development (together with the other analysts).

The role also involves conducting independent analysis work, actively contributing to the development and efficiency of the analysis work, and representing NCSC and strategic cybersecurity analysis. This includes, among other things:

• analyzing and assessing the global situation in the field of cybersecurity,
• verbally and in writing explaining and describing complex phenomena in a pedagogical manner,
• representing strategic cybersecurity analysis externally.

Travel both within and outside Sweden may occur.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A master's degree in social sciences, technology, or law.
• Experience in analytical work, such as method development, empirical data collection, statistical analysis, or analytical report writing.
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Work experience related to cybersecurity.
• Experience representing an organization externally.
• Experience in environmental scanning, incident reporting, or other work involving situational awareness.

More Information

The workplace is currently located in Stockholm. New premises are expected to be ready in Bergshamra within a few years. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be placed on war footing.
