Theatre Instructor for Children – Medborgarskolan Gothenburg

Do you love theatre and want to share your knowledge? Medborgarskolan in Gothenburg is now looking for a knowledgeable and engaged instructor in the subject of Theatre for children aged 6 and up.

Medborgarskolan operates nationwide, and nearly one million people participate in our courses and cultural activities every year. We welcome everyone and strive to contribute to joyful learning, creativity, and civic engagement. Medborgarskolan Region West covers Västra Götaland and Halland.

We are looking for someone with knowledge in:

• Acting – basic stage work, role interpretation, and character building
• Pedagogical skills – ability to adapt teaching to different levels and ages
• Directing – ability to assemble a play and work with the overall vision and expression
• Communication and leadership – creating a sense of security in the group and motivating participants
• Planning and structure – ability to design course structure and progression

Who are you?

You are pedagogical, inspiring, and enjoy meeting people. You like sharing your knowledge and creating a welcoming and educational atmosphere. You must be able to communicate well in Swedish and preferably have good experience working with children and conducting workshops/courses.

How you work with us

As an instructor, you work in a group and lead participants through practical exercises, lectures, or workshops within your area of expertise. The courses are usually held in the evenings, but weekends and daytime sessions may also occur. The position is a fixed-term assignment, and we have a collective agreement.
