About the Job

The Finance Department is currently in the process of procuring a new business system, which will be implemented next year. Therefore, we are strengthening our team with a Finance Administrator now. This is a 1-year fixed-term position with the possibility of extension.

The position is located within the Accounting and Service Unit, which is part of the municipality's central finance department. Uddevalla Municipality's Finance Department is primarily responsible for the management, coordination, and development of the municipality's financial processes. The department also provides expertise to the municipal executive board, administrative departments, and municipally owned companies.

The Accounting and Service Unit consists of nineteen employees and covers service and responsibility for accounting, budgeting and follow-up, finance and investments, payment processes, customer and supplier ledgers, e-commerce, and fixed asset registers. The unit is also responsible for the business system Raindance and the municipality's group accounting.

Responsibilities

  • As a Finance Administrator in the Accounting and Service Unit, you will work together with the rest of the central customer and supplier ledger team. The group supports each other, and tasks are distributed based on competence and areas of interest.
  • For this position, the tasks are primarily focused on customer ledger, claims handling, and exception handling for incoming supplier invoices.
  • You will be part of our support and service team for our internal customers.
  • The role also includes other common finance administrative tasks.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • We are looking for you who have a university college degree or equivalent with a focus on economics/finance.
  • You have experience in similar finance administrative tasks. Experience from similar work within the public sector is an advantage.
  • We assume you have good system and computer skills. Experience working with Raindance is an advantage.
  • You are structured, detail-oriented, and responsible.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others. Since you will have contact with people both internally and externally, it is important that you are service-oriented and have good verbal and written communication skills.
