Who is your future team?
You will be part of the Axis OS Connected Services team. We are responsible for system access and multimedia streaming functionality in AXIS OS, with a primary focus on cloud-connected systems. Our developers work in small agile teams in close collaboration with both internal and external partners. Our goal is to offer high-quality, modern cyber-secure solutions. We are now looking for a talented software developer to join our System Security team. Our services are a key part of achieving cyber-secure systems, for both old and new Axis devices, and integrate well with partner solutions.

What you'll do here as a software developer?
As a software developer in the Axis OS Connected Services team, you will join the group responsible for developing new, enhanced access and security solutions for systems of Axis devices. Our upcoming system service functionality helps customers secure, monitor, and configure large fleets of Axis devices. It also enables compatibility between old and new systems and platforms. We implement modern standards (such as OAuth2, SZTP, and mTLS) with least privilege access models for secure device-to-cloud and device-to-device communication.

We work with open-source components when applicable and increasingly make use of AI-assisted development.

As a developer in the System Security team, you will be involved in all parts of the development process, from design to implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring, in close collaboration with our technology partners.

Your responsibilities and main tasks will include:

• Developing and implementing new security features for device systems
• Designing, threat modeling, programming, reviewing, documenting, and writing tests
• Sharing knowledge and competence with other teams and colleagues

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who like complex technical challenges and enjoy working in groups with other skilled engineers in a culture characterized by cooperation and shared responsibility. We believe you are a driven software developer with relevant university-level education. We hope you enjoy modern software development, focusing on incremental releases, user needs, and data monitoring. You like to take initiative and influence with your ideas and thoughts.

We think you have:

• A master's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience with C programming in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as C++, Golang, or Rust
• Experience with multi-threaded programming
• Experience working with network communication and cloud-connected software platforms

It is a bonus if you also have:

• A solid understanding of modern operating systems
• A good understanding of HTTP protocols, proxy technologies, and encryption mechanisms like TLS and PKI
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
• Experience with AI-assisted programming
