Do you want to make a real impact and create change? Here, you contribute to creating security for people and societies. What you do matters.
About Us
As a Systems Engineer at Saab Surveillance, you will work on the development of advanced defense products, with a special focus on naval command and control systems. Your role involves ensuring that our products meet requirements and the expectations customers have regarding their capabilities. You lead the technical work throughout the product's lifecycle, from initial studies to development and further maintenance. The work includes requirements analysis, specification, and verification of the final product. Your primary focus lies on the software components included in our deliveries. You act as a link between project management and the various development teams, breaking down work packages into action points that are passed on for development. You will work with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Your Role
In the role of Systems Engineer, you have a holistic understanding of our products, as well as the ability to explain, communicate, and document how the systems are intended to function. The deliveries are technically broad and may contain components within both hardware and mechanics.
You will be part of a team with diverse backgrounds and experience that appreciates each other's differences and strives for an open and helpful culture.
In the role of Systems Engineer, you can also expect:
- Work with requirements setting, planning, analysis, summarizing results, and reporting.
- Movement within many technical areas, where your contact points within the company will be broad.
- Collaboration in project form with different parts within Saab Naval Combat Systems, other parts of Saab, as well as national or international cooperation partners.
- Our projects vary in size, which requires flexibility as you may work on several projects simultaneously.
The role of Systems Engineer may involve extensive customer contact and may also involve travel within and outside Sweden depending on the assignment and customer.
Your Profile
- M.Sc. in Systems Engineering or equivalent with several years of experience, preferably from software systems development.
- Experience in requirements setting and structuring complex systems to create a robust system architecture.
- Good collaboration skills and the ability to drive your work forward independently.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
