The Unit for Industrial Development and Preparedness is responsible for building knowledge, developing policy on industrial matters at the national and EU levels, and implementing measures to achieve industrial policy goals. The unit also serves as the preparedness authority for the industry.

About the Position

This role aims to strengthen Tillväxtverket's work within total defense and preparedness, with a specific focus on industry. You will help build, establish, and implement the unit's tasks as the industry's preparedness authority. You will work both independently and in teams, collaborating with colleagues from various parts of the agency, as well as with other authorities, the business sector, and relevant organizations.

The mission involves strengthening the industry's ability to handle crises and war. This includes monitoring, analyzing, and contributing to enhancing the industry's resilience. You will be responsible for regular reporting, external communication, developing collaboration frameworks for essential societal functions and supply security, and designing processes, routines, and exercises.

The role also includes outward-facing activities, such as representing the agency, organizing events, and actively spreading knowledge to strengthen the development and competitiveness of Swedish industry. Since the mission is still in a setup phase, there are significant opportunities to influence how the work is carried out.

The position is security-classified and requires Swedish citizenship. A security check with register control will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.

Work location: Stockholm or Östersund
Travel: Included in the role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college education equivalent to at least three years of study.
• Several years of work experience from business, industry, or business development in industry associations.
• Experience working independently and with a development-oriented mindset.
• Ability to analyze, draw conclusions, and adapt them to the implementation of tasks.
• Experience in familiarizing yourself with different regulations to execute assignments.
• Proficiency in digital tools and working in digital environments.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience in total defense and preparedness tasks (e.g., risk and vulnerability analyses, continuity planning).
• Understanding of industrial issues and industry actors.
• Knowledge of business promotion organizations.
• Experience from politically governed organizations.
• Experience in project management and/or project development.
• Experience in planning, executing, reporting, and following up on assignments.
• Experience in communication and leading workshops.
