We are looking for a Project Controller for a government agency within the transport sector.

This is a consulting assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking a Senior Project Controller responsible for financial planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of investment projects. The role involves ensuring structure, quality, and compliance in financial processes, as well as supporting project management and operations with financial matters throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and structure financial work based on decided processes and guidelines.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of structures, processes, and routines (clarifying responsibilities, processes, frequency).
• Prepare posting templates and cheat sheets/guides as needed, and manage finance-related logs and tools. Support operations with posting and accounting of invoices.
• Responsible for continuous updating and quality assurance of forecasts and actual results. Participate in and, in some cases, lead finance-related meetings, e.g., forecast meetings.
• Prepare invoices, for example to municipalities and utility owners, and handle co-financing. Assist project managers in preparing documentation for accounting entries. Handle capitalization of projects according to the K3 accounting standards.
• Prepare documentation for write-offs and cost allocations. Assist with documentation and manage the follow-up of co-financing such as state grants and external partners.
• Follow-up on actual transaction results. Monitor contracts and flag any deviations.
• Responsible for continuous analysis and follow-up of financial results against forecasts and budgets, as well as financial reporting.

Requirements (Note, mandatory)

• The consultant must have at least 3 years of higher education or equivalent in business administration/economics.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in accounting and/or controlling (experience with budgeting, forecasting, follow-up, etc.).
• The consultant must have at least three (3) years of documented experience as a Controller, including responsibility for financial planning and follow-up of infrastructure and construction projects.
• At least one (1) year of professional experience working in financial management or project follow-up systems (e.g., Hypergene, Antura, Avima, Primavera, or equivalent). Experience must include planning, follow-up, and reporting of project budgets and forecasts within the framework of project control.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

• At least three (3) years of documented experience working in a project-based role, with responsibility for a project portfolio with a total budget of at least 100 million SEK.
• Experience working with contractors in collaborative forms or on a cost-plus basis from at least one (1) previous assignment.
