We are looking for a Project Controller for a government agency within the transport sector.
This is a consultancy assignment with the stationing location in Stockholm.
The position is full-time.
The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.
The Assignment
As a Project Controller, you will work with financial planning and monitoring of several projects within a larger program. The role involves close collaboration with project and program management, as well as responsibility for financial control, monitoring, and reporting. The Project Controller acts as a support to project managers in financial matters and contributes to ensuring that the program's financial control processes are followed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and maintaining budgets and forecasts for respective projects.
- Participate in the work of continuously producing forecasts for the entire program.
- Ensure that the program's financial control processes are consistently followed.
- Work according to a common methodology for financial planning and monitoring.
- Prepare materials in dialogue with project and program management, as well as create staffing plans.
- Support individual projects/sub-projects and other functions in their financial planning and monitoring.
- Identify, analyze, and understand any deviations between actual results, forecasts, and budgets.
- Prepare materials for status reports and other presentations to project and program management.
- Support project managers with coding and accounting of invoices.
- Support project managers in producing relevant reports.
- Support project managers in producing project status reports and financial reports.
- Participate in project management meetings.
- Participate in risk reporting work.
- Participate in relevant program management meetings as needed.
- Participate in all relevant planning and monitoring meetings.
- Actively participate in the monitoring of financial planning at all different levels.
- Participate in construction meetings with contractors for financial planning and monitoring as needed.
- Lead financial meetings with designers, contractors, and other suppliers.
- Work according to the principle of integrated management in close collaboration with the disciplines of scope, quality, time, and cost.
- Use software such as the Office package, Agresso, Hypergene, Avima, and Antura.
- Have contact interfaces with the program's internal organization as well as external stakeholders such as sponsors, municipalities, designers, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements (OBS, mandatory)
The consultant must have:
- At least three (3) years of higher education in economics or be a civil engineer with a focus on economics, or equivalent.
- At least seven (7) years of documented professional experience as a Controller with a focus on financial planning, monitoring, and financial analysis.
- At least five (5) years of documented professional experience in financial monitoring within infrastructure projects, civil engineering projects, or contracting projects.
- At least three (3) years of experience working with economic project reporting or qualified tasks within accounting.
- At least three (3) years of documented experience working in a project form with responsibility for projects with a budget of at least 200 million SEK.
- Experience in independently leading financial meetings with designers, contractors, or other suppliers from at least one (1) previous assignment.
- At least three (3) years of documented experience working in financial monitoring systems (e.g., Hypergene, Antura, Avima, Primavera, or equivalent). The experience must include planning, monitoring, and reporting of project budgets and forecasts within the framework of project control.
- Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
Meritorious
- At least 3 years of documented experience working in the public sector.
- At least 2 years of documented experience working with the economic system Hypergene.
- At least 1 year of documented experience working with systematic risk reporting, monitoring of project risks, and quantification of risk values and economic consequences.
Personal Qualities
The consultant must have very good social and communicative skills and be able to prioritize their work.
The consultant must be able to work independently while also having very good skills in working in a team.
The consultant must be structured and meticulous, driven, and goal-oriented.
Good knowledge of both Swedish and English, orally and in writing, is important for this role.
Reference checks will be conducted as part of the call-off process.
