The IT department at the Swedish Customs Authority (Tullverket) in Luleå is the largest IT employer in Northern Sweden, with approximately 320 employees. We are now looking for a driven and responsible Platform Engineer who wants to help build our next-generation internal development platform. The position offers varied and meaningful work where your skills contribute to creating a safe and secure society.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will become a key player in our newly formed development platform team. Your mission is to design, build, operate, and develop a modern, secure, and scalable internal development platform. The goal is to provide our system developers with the best possible conditions to deliver robust IT services that operate around the clock for society.

Your focus lies on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in an on-premise environment. Together with the team, you drive both daily operations and long-term development with high demands for security, robustness, and high availability in our systems. You work closely with colleagues in system development, operations, and IT security.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in IT or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Linux environments
• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Swedish citizenship

It is an advantage if you have:

• Competence in container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman)
• Experience with automation (Ansible or AWX)
• Experience in writing scripts (Python or Shell)
• Experience with license management and preparing technical documentation for procurement
• Understanding of DevOps principles and agile working methods
