About the role

The law enforcement sector is in an expansion phase and requires skilled and dedicated software developers to strengthen our team in Luleå.

You will have the opportunity to join a team where you jointly are responsible for developing and maintaining several of the Swedish Customs Administration's IT systems that support law enforcement activities.

The new system support is built using JavaEE for the backend and Angular for the frontend.

What you will do

As a software developer with us, your main tasks will be to develop and maintain systems within the Swedish Customs Administration's IT environment.

In addition to development related to business needs, the teams work to continuously improve their deliverables.

In a team within the IT department of the Swedish Customs Administration, we are jointly responsible for maintaining and further developing the administration's IT systems, contributing innovation and new thinking by monitoring the external environment and adopting industry trends.

It is a merit if you have worked with JBoss as an application platform, GIT, Jira, and have experience with agile working methods, but this is not a requirement. If you also have experience with container solutions, Docker, and OpenShift, it is an additional advantage.

Your profile

To fit the role, we look for someone who has:

  • Relevant education in IT or other experience considered equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in software development.
  • Good knowledge of various programming languages.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • An analytical mind and problem-solving skills that make a difference.

The position is a permanent employment with individual salary setting.

Start date: By agreement.

The Swedish Customs Administration is a total defense authority, and upon employment, you may be assigned to wartime duties within the Customs Administration.
