North Military Region (MR N) is entering an exciting and developmental phase, and we are looking for a System Technician who wants to join us on this journey. Our work is characterized by good team spirit, helpfulness, an open atmosphere, and a focus on growth and improvement.

About Regional Staff, Command System Department

The department consists of C J6, the IT Manager, and two administrators. The department supports the execution of operations and exercises within the region, as well as supporting the production of the region's resources for the Home Guard.

Main Responsibilities

The work involves independently performing installation, configuration, proactive fault-finding maintenance, incident management in IT environments, computers, and user support in both open and classified IT environments. The work is varied and is primarily performed in the Swedish Armed Forces' premises in Boden and to some extent in other locations in Norrbotten, though other parts of the country may also be involved. Internal training for the position will be conducted.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education with approved grades in IT/data or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as comparable
  • Good computer skills, both hardware and software for servers and clients in a Windows environment
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Good experience working in Microsoft environments and TCP/IP networks
  • Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

MERITORIOUS

  • Current and relevant professional experience with IT systems, IT equipment, and IT communications
  • Experience with ITIL process work
  • Experience with IT security work, e.g., information security
  • Experience working in IT projects
  • IT certifications from, for example, Microsoft or Cisco
  • Knowledge of cabling/connecting and documentation of telecommunications facilities
  • Experience in similar work within the Swedish Armed Forces

Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.

Workload: Full-time.

Work location: Boden.

Civil position.

Evening and weekend duty, as well as business travel, occur in the work.

Start date: By agreement.

The North Military Region (MR N) is responsible for territorial land command in the four northern counties. The region consists of a staff and five training groups. The operations span from Kiruna in the north to Härnösand in the south. At MR N, there are seven Home Guard battalions and several support functions.
