The role of the Army Combat School (MSS) is to create the conditions for army combat units to solve their assigned tasks in the best possible way, both nationally and internationally, together with other parts of the army. MSS also performs tasks for the entire Swedish Armed Forces, such as the development and procurement of soldier-carried equipment, small arms, and support weapons. Within this framework, the Army Combat School educates the Armed Forces' future leaders using advanced training facilities and extensive knowledge.

About the position

The positions are located within the Officer Company, which, together with the Specialist Officer Company, the Education Department, and the Tactics Department, forms the Education Unit of the Army Combat School. The Officer Company is responsible for implementing the operational education of the Officer Programme as well as the Reserve Officer Education at the Army Combat School. The positions are at level SO7/OF2.

Main responsibilities

The role involves leading the education of the platoon's cadets in military science, leadership, and defense systems. The platoon consists of a commander, a deputy commander, and one or more instructors.

The educational methods include but are not limited to: field exercises, simulators, lectures, seminars, and exercises with live and blank ammunition.

Qualifications

  • Professional officer or reserve officer
  • Area of operation: ground combat and experience from mechanized units.
  • Experience as an instructor in shooting training and combat training.
  • Driver's license at least class B (manual)

The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position. Every permanent position begins with a 6-month probationary period, provided you are not already employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
