About the workplace

The 32nd Garrison Battalion is a support function within the Helicopter Wing and part of the wartime unit of the 3rd Air Wing. The battalion includes functions for logistics, healthcare, and education, with its main operational site in Linköping. The battalion consists largely of civilian employees and handles tasks across the entire spectrum of conflict.

The 32nd Garrison Battalion is a workplace in development, where new functions, units, and tasks are added over time.

Main responsibilities

As a planning officer, you will support the battalion commander with the planning of upcoming operations. The work mainly consists of planning the battalion's combined operations, either individually or as part of temporary planning teams, acting as the planning lead or as a resource within the team. You will be responsible for the long-term planning of the battalion's operations, and together with the personnel function, support the battalion commander in developing the battalion's organization and participate in planning the battalion's and wing's war plans.

Qualifications

  • Professional Officer Education (SO 6-8)
  • Good ability to communicate clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Category B driver's license

Meritorious experience

  • Experience working in Air Force base units
  • Experience in staff work

Personal qualities

We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills and thrive in cooperation with others, while also having the courage and judgment to act on your own initiative when the situation requires it. You are driven, meticulous, and work towards development and improvement. Furthermore, you have the ability to lead and structure work even under time pressure, where operations often dictate the pace. The tasks place high demands on your ability to systematically handle and follow current regulations, as well as prepare cases for upcoming decisions.
