We are growing and are now looking for two Health and Social Care Counselors who want to help develop future psychiatric outpatient care in Falun.

The psychiatric outpatient clinic in Falun is part of the specialist psychiatry at Region Dalarna. We offer assessment, treatment, and follow-up for adult patients requiring specialist psychiatric care. We work in teams with the patient at the center, focusing clearly on collaboration, quality, and continuity in care. Currently, we are actively engaged in development work where we are strengthening our methods and accessibility.

As a Health and Social Care Counselor, you will work with psychosocial treatment within specialist psychiatric outpatient care. The work is varied and places high demands on both independence and collaboration.

You will work in a team-based manner together with, for example, doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists.

Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Motivational, mapping, and therapeutic conversations
• Socio-legal advice and support in contacts with authorities
• Support in rehabilitation and return to work or other activities
• Suicide risk assessments as well as assessment of risk and protective factors
• Collaboration with relatives, municipalities, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other actors
• Participation in SIP (Interagency Professional Collaboration) and care planning
• Documentation according to current guidelines
• Involvement in development and improvement work within the unit

Requirements

• You are a social worker or have another basic education deemed relevant by the employer, and are a licensed Health and Social Care Counselor, or are in the process of obtaining your license.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is flexible, structured, and solution-oriented
• Contributes to a positive work climate
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B)
• Communicates well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Merits:

• Experience working in psychiatry, preferably outpatient care
• Further education in areas such as CBT, MI, or other counseling methods
• Experience in authority work, with knowledge of social services and collaboration processes

Region Dalarna will introduce a requirement for licensure as a Health and Social Care Counselor from 2029-07-01 for those working as counselors within healthcare. If you are offered the position and lack licensure, you will need to complete supplementary education to become eligible to apply for licensure. This will be planned in consultation with your nearest manager.
