On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start on 2026-08-03 and run until 2027-07-31, with the possibility of extension.

About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who wants to contribute to complex procurements, business development initiatives, and strategic analyses within socially important operations. The role involves supporting the business with financial analyses, costing, requirement setting, and the development of data-driven contract monitoring.

You will work in an environment where procurement, commercial viability, and cost-efficiency are in focus, with close collaboration between operations, technology, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will among other things:

  • Participate in studies, investigations, and procurements related to traffic and maintenance businesses.
  • Contribute to the design of compensation and incentive models.
  • Prepare cost estimates, analyses, and decision support materials for strategic decisions.
  • Formulate and analyze requirements in procurement documentation.
  • Support price evaluations and supplier negotiations through financial analyses and decision support.
  • Develop and establish solutions for contract monitoring using Power BI.
  • Define, develop, and monitor key financial and technical indicators.
  • Conduct data analysis and identify opportunities for improvement to increase cost-efficiency.
  • Review investment and maintenance cost estimates and compile information from internal and external sources.
  • Calculate cost key figures and analyze the economic consequences of different action alternatives.

Start: 2026-08-03
End: 2027-07-31 (possibility of extension for 1+1+1 years)
Scope: 100%, 40 hours per week
Location: Stockholm
Employment type: Employed by Devotum, as the client does not approve subcontractors in this process.

About You

We are looking for you who meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • An academic degree in engineering, economics, or equivalent at the master's level.
  • At least 9 years of documented experience in procurement work, including requirement management and requirement analysis.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis work related to public procurement within both public transport and maintenance operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in independently preparing, analyzing, and compiling maintenance and reinvestment cost estimates within infrastructure or contracting operations.

It is meritorious if you also meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in requirement setting and business costing for traffic agreements or other business-critical services.
  • Experience in developing Power BI solutions and data-driven business monitoring.
  • Experience working with incentive models and compensation models.
  • Good understanding of public procurement and contract monitoring.
  • Participated in at least four public transport procurements during the last five years.

To succeed in the role, you need to be communicative, receptive, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. You are also proactive, quality-conscious, and have a good ability to prioritize and deliver in an environment where several parallel activities and time-critical tasks occur.
