Furuparkskolan is a preschool to grade 3 school located in a residential area on Skurholmen, 3 km from Luleå city center. The school accommodates approximately 135 students, of whom approximately 125 are in the after-school program. The school has two after-school departments: Vulkanen for preschool class and grade 1, and Skogen for grade 2 and grade 3. Our priority development areas are an accessible learning environment, a school that works for everyone all day long, and developing an effective student health service. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

At Furuparkskolan, we work for "every student's best, in every student's best school". We put the student at the center, and for this to work, it is crucial that our staff gets the right conditions to make it possible. Our absolute conviction is that if the staff is doing well, the students will also be doing well.

The position of student assistant involves working as support in teaching for a student with a disability during school hours and after-school hours. Teaching takes place within the framework of the student's class as well as within the framework of the after-school program. As a student assistant, you have a close relationship with all students at the school. You work to create an environment that promotes security, social awareness, learning, and independence. You will be part of a work team. This work is done in close collaboration with the student health service and teaching teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have experience working with children, preferably within a pedagogical activity. You have completed upper secondary education with a focus on, for example, children and leisure or leadership programs. As a person, you easily connect with all students. You have the ability to see needs and handle different situations that may arise during a day. It is highly meritorious to have experience working with students with intellectual disabilities.

Your role involves that you:

• Have an inclusive approach.
• Work in close dialogue with students, guardians, work teams, and school staff.

You are engaged and flexible, as well as open to many solutions and working methods. You easily create and maintain good relationships with people. You are a clear and secure adult with social competence, good leadership, and empathy. You are a pronounced team player who wants to contribute to students' development through interaction and dialogue. You are a straightforward and open person with good structure, organizational ability, as well as action and initiative power. You view student development from a holistic perspective.

In addition, we would like you to:

• Be accustomed to working with ICT and various digital tools.
• Want and be able to contribute to the value-based work at the school through a democratic approach and by being a good role model.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment until October 23, 2026, with the possibility of extension
