Adapted primary school provides students with intellectual disabilities with a good education and foundation for further studies and active participation in societal life. The teaching should be flexible so that each student, based on their prerequisites, develops as far as possible towards the goals of the curriculum. The education should promote social cohesion and develop students' ability to independently and together with others absorb, deepen, and use knowledge.

We are now looking for an engaged and creative leisure-time pedagogue or school-age educator (fritidshem teacher) to join our team at Christinaskolan Adapted Primary School.

Job Responsibilities

As a leisure-time pedagogue or school-age educator, you work to support students' development through play, creativity, and social interaction. You are an important part of the school's whole and collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to create a stimulating environment both during and after the school day.

The role involves developing and driving pedagogical work in our leisure-time activities, together with other educators.

The mission of the school-age center (fritidshem) is to complement education in preschool class and school, where you stimulate the student's development and learning while offering them a meaningful leisure time. You should also support students in their pedagogical work and provide assistance in practical tasks that the student needs help with. Contact and collaboration with guardians is also an important part of the job.

Qualifications

• Education as a leisure-time pedagogue or teacher with a focus on school-age education (fritidshem)
• Experience working with school-age children is an advantage
• Good teamwork skills and a solution-focused approach to work
• Creativity, initiative, and a strong commitment to children and young people
• Good communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners, such as guardians
• We are also interested in candidates with other pedagogical education that may be relevant for the position.

Permanent position 100%, or seasonal employment. Start date by agreement.
