Björkskataskolan is centrally located in the district of Björkskatan. For the academic year 2025/26, we have 390 students from grade 7 to 9. Experienced and engaged teachers, educators, leaders, and professionals work here. At Björkskataskolan, we believe in creating a good atmosphere and building relationships among everyone at the school. We have a nice local area with a hockey rink, football field, and basketball court, as well as fine indoor study environments with good light, air, and sound levels.

The school features, among other things, two learning studios where resource teachers and special educators/special teachers work with students to provide extra support. The teaching team collaborates with the local student health team, which consists of school leadership, resource teachers, special educators, counselors, career guidance counselors, and school nurses. We also have a well-functioning student council that provides good opportunities for student influence, creating engaged students who care about their school and education.

DUTIES

We are looking for a teacher to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology. You will be part of a work team and collaborate closely with other teachers in the work team and subject group. Mentoring together with another teacher is included in the position. Your duties include planning and conducting teaching, assessing students' performance, monitoring their developmental needs, and grading students.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have the qualifications and certification to teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology at the lower secondary level. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge in working with language- and knowledge-developing methods, and if you have good skills in using digital tools as pedagogical aids and as communication in learning. You play a key role in advancing this work.

It is of great importance that you can contribute to the school's values-based work by having a democratic approach and being a good role model. You have the ability to build good relationships with students and provide clear structure in your teaching to ensure a safe environment where students receive a good and accessible learning environment. Furthermore, you have the ability to collaborate well with guardians as well as with other professionals inside and outside the school. You can express yourself well both orally and in writing.

If you are appointed to the position, you must provide a clean certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record).
