Description

Do you want to strengthen the region's work on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with a focus on health equity? We are looking for you who have experience within SRHR, a strong interest in working in multidisciplinary projects, and methodological knowledge in qualitative research. Currently, we primarily need reinforcement in our projects for improved menopause and endometriosis care in Stockholm County.

What we offer

The Centre for Epidemiology and Community Medicine (CES) is part of Region Stockholm. We contribute to good and equitable public health through analyses, knowledge bases, and support for healthcare and other public health actors. At CES, you work closely with academia, particularly Karolinska Institutet, and have the opportunity to develop in a qualified role. You can read more about us at Centre for Epidemiology and Community Medicine (#).

We value a good balance between work and private life. We offer flexible working hours, a generous wellness allowance, and free healthcare within primary care. You can read more about this at Benefits in the Stockholm County Healthcare Sector (#).

About the position and your role

The SRHR unit is responsible for the region's public health work within SRHR. The work is characterized by a "from cradle to grave" approach, with epidemiological mapping and needs assessments at one end, and interventions, measures, and implementation at the other. We are now seeking reinforcement to work on equitable SRHR, primarily within projects related to menopause and endometriosis. The tasks are varied and include administration, coordination, and qualitative data collection and analysis. We are looking for you who want to influence SRHR from a public health perspective. You will collaborate closely with project managers at CES, healthcare providers, other public health actors, and civil society.

The work requires that you are structured and able to switch between tasks, that you actively and independently seek information relevant to the tasks, and that you can collaborate both internally within the unit and with other units at CES, as well as externally with relevant partners. CES provides university hospital care with good opportunities to participate in research.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • have a master's degree in public health, health sciences, global health, or other education relevant to the position
  • have an interest in SRHR from a public health perspective
  • have theoretical knowledge and practical experience of qualitative methods
  • have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits:

  • experience of co-creation or citizen/patient participation
  • work within healthcare in Region Stockholm or other relevant public sector
  • work in socio-economically vulnerable areas
  • good knowledge of Arabic, Somali, or other relevant languages

We place great importance on personal qualities. We are looking for you who have a strong passion for making a difference in practice while contributing to the development of equitable SRHR. Furthermore, you are structured, meticulous, analytical, and capable of working independently. You have good communication skills and function well in teamwork. You can also build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Conditions

Project employment for one year, with the possibility of extension up to two years. Full time 100%. Start date according to agreement.

We will review applications continuously and may call for interviews before the final application deadline.

Welcome with your application!

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
