to apply for the job
We are now looking for a textile arts teacher at Anundsjö School for grades 4–9. Could you be the one we are looking for?
If you are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers. This means that during your first year, you will be assigned a mentor. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualification who can guide and support you.
Responsibilities
You will teach textile arts in grades 4–9 and will have overall responsibility for the student group. This includes handling the necessary documentation and contacts. Communication and collaboration with guardians are important parts of the job. The role involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher's degree with subject qualification in textile arts. You thrive on challenges, think innovatively, and see differences and diversity as a natural foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is second nature to you.
We would appreciate it if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the skill to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are attentive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.
Please attach your CV and a cover letter to your application. We look forward to receiving your application!
Upon employment, an extract from the Police Register must be submitted to the employer.
At the Department of Education, we work to create good conditions for every child's and student's learning, development, and creativity. We aim to create a safe and inspiring learning environment where the joy of learning is in focus, and where children, students, and staff meet each other with respect.
In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents include a passport, international ID card, driver's license plus a personal data extract from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, an extract from the Police Register regarding suspicion and criminal record is required. We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.
In our municipality, a number of positions are classified for security, so a security check may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
