The Multilingual Centre works with pedagogical support, development, and teaching for multilingual students. The operations cover both primary and upper secondary school levels.
Job Responsibilities
You will teach students in their mother tongue, Dutch, in accordance with the goals of the national curriculum. The role involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, assessing knowledge, and maintaining good contact with parents and other educators.
The position also includes working as a study mentor. Study mentoring is carried out in close collaboration with the school's teachers and aims to support the student in developing their Swedish language skills while valuing their previous subject knowledge.
The position may involve both in-person and remote teaching.
Qualifications
We are primarily looking for you who hold a Swedish teaching license, or alternatively, another university or college education that the employer deems relevant. You should have very good knowledge of the mother tongue Dutch, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Previous experience working with children and young people is an advantage.
A Category B driver's license is required as the work may be located at several schools.
Employment Terms
The position is a fixed-term appointment at 85% during the academic year 2026/27.

We welcome proficiency in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.
Several positions in our municipality are classified for security purposes, which may require a security clearance. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
