About the Job

Are you a creative and relational primary school teacher (grades 4-6) with a genuine interest in challenging our students to grow and develop? Then you could be our new colleague in Team 5 at Forshällaskolan.

Forshällaskolan is located in the countryside just outside Uddevalla. The school is a K-6 school that will become a three-stream school next autumn with nearly 430 students. We have 4 after-school care units at the school, with 230 children. The school has over 50 dedicated and skilled colleagues who place great emphasis on good collaboration around our students. Alongside the pedagogical staff, there is an experienced student health team consisting of the principal, deputy principal, counselor, special education teacher, and school nurse.

Responsibilities

As a teacher here, you plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching according to the curriculum, always with a focus on meeting both individual and group needs. You will work in grade 5, where you will meet inclusive and supportive colleagues, and where collaboration and continuous development are a natural part of everyday life.

You will become part of the team working together to:

• Create clear and highly structured teaching where you systematically monitor students' knowledge development and current status to meet group needs
• Create a good learning environment in the classroom through predictability, safety, and study quiet
• Continuously develop the school's long-term quality work by being involved and active in collegial collaboration
• Build professional and long-term relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians

Qualifications

You are a certified primary school teacher with the qualification to teach grades 4-6. We would like you to have broad qualifications and experience teaching English.

• You meet your students with engagement and genuine interest. You understand that students are shaped by their context and you try to meet your students based on their needs. You are very skilled at building good relationships with your students and understand that students who are seen and met with warmth and understanding fare and succeed better.
• You are a clear pedagogical leader with a very good ability to create a structured and safe environment in the classroom. You work consciously with leadership and stimulation in the classroom.
• You work systematically to understand and analyze students' current status to be able to develop good teaching that meets students' knowledge level and needs.
• You think collaboration is essential for success in your work. Your collaboration with both colleagues and guardians is characterized by openness, helpfulness, and professionalism.
