We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/Accounting Consultant for an interim assignment with an established group with several business areas. This assignment is suitable for you who thrive on combining operational accounting work with improvement projects and who can quickly create structure, quality, and momentum in financial processes.

There is an opportunity to take summer vacation, and the client expects the consultant to plan a few weeks of leave during July.

About the assignment

You will work closely with the finance function and be responsible for accounting and closing in one or more companies within the group. The focus is on ensuring high quality in ongoing accounting as well as contributing to more efficient working methods and clearer processes.

The tasks include, among other things:

• Ongoing accounting and closing work
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Balance reconciliations and quality assurance of balance sheet items
• Accruals, provisions, and other closing-related assessments
• Preparation of annual reports and audit documentation
• VAT, tax, and declaration matters
• Handling of fixed assets and investments
• Documentation of routines, controls, and processes
• Identification and implementation of improvement measures within the finance function

Working style and organization

This is a role for you who appreciate an independent assignment where you have significant responsibility for accounting, closing, and quality assurance.

• The role is largely independent with personal responsibility for delivery and quality.
• You work closely with the finance function but drive many issues independently.
• Reporting is done directly to the Finance Manager.
• The assignment is primarily performed on-site to ensure a quick introduction and close collaboration with the business.
• During the summer months, especially in July, there is good flexibility regarding workplace and setup.
• The working arrangement after the summer will be discussed further based on business needs and the consultant's situation.

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in qualified accounting and independent closing work
• Is confident in K2/K3 and annual reporting
• Has experience with company responsibility or accounting for multiple companies
• Has extensive experience with balance reconciliations, auditing, and documentation
• Has good system proficiency and very good knowledge of Excel
• Can quickly adapt to new businesses and create structure and order

Merits

• Experience from a group environment
• Experience in property-related accounting, investment-heavy businesses, insurance
• Experience in internal control, process development, or efficiency work
• Experience from regulated businesses
