Solenskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 310 students and 40 staff members, located at the southern entrance to Härnösand. In addition to the primary school operations for grades F-6, we have three after-school care departments. The school is organized into grade-level working teams where time for joint planning is prioritized. The school can also be described as multicultural, with a large proportion of multilingual students. We work with a language-developing approach where we view multilingualism as a strength. Practical and aesthetic activities are a prioritized and natural part of our daily operations. The proximity to beautiful sea and forest environments is utilized to the fullest extent both during the school day and in after-school activities.

About the Position

Our daily life is characterized by collaborative work focused on the students' learning and development. We create common goal images and utilize competencies optimally. It is natural to work closely with colleagues on joint planning and structures for the students. As a teacher here, you are responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating the operations based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You contribute to creating an environment aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and their personal growth and outlook on the future.

Safety and values-based issues are an important part of our operations, and we actively work on various levels to create a good common climate. Good relational competence is a strength that we value.

Learning together through joint collegial professional development, starting from the students' needs, is a natural part of how we work. At Solenskolan, there is a development group with lead teachers who, together with the school management, drive school development forward.

Qualifications

Teacher degree with teaching qualification for grades F-3.

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made. A requirement for working in the school is a clean extract from the police criminal record.
