About Us

Are you an economist looking to work in an stimulating environment where education and research are at the forefront? As an Economic Administrator at the University of Skövde, you will become part of the Department of Economics, Project, and Innovation Support. The department consists of 14 employees, and you will join the economic team, comprising seven dedicated colleagues who together form the financial hub of an operation with a turnover of nearly half a billion SEK.

Your Role

As an Economic Administrator with us, you will have a varied and important role. You will support and assist the organization with economic administrative matters. In this role, you will plan your daily work independently while being part of a team with other economists. Your tasks range from ongoing accounting, customer and supplier accounts, payments, and the administration of payments from students from third countries.

You will also be involved in developing our processes, routines, and guidelines for economic work at the university. Together with your colleagues in the Department of Economics, Project, and Innovation Support, you will contribute to creating stable and efficient financial management, while we strive to improve and simplify where possible. Tasks such as handling fixed assets, payment files, and other economic processes are also included in the position.

Additional tasks may be included in the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree at least at the basic level with a focus on economics.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

We will also value the following criteria during the hiring process:

  • Documented experience in general economic work, preferably within the public sector.
  • Experience working in economic systems or other database-based systems, as well as good IT skills.
  • Good analytical skills, especially regarding numerical information.
  • Good ability to independently organize and drive your own work.

In this position, great emphasis will be placed on documented experience in general economic work, preferably within the public sector.

Employment Type: This is a permanent position. The University may apply a six-month probation period.
