Specialist Dentist in Orofacial Medicine in Sörmland

Specialist Dental Care in Sörmland has three clinics for orofacial medicine, and we are now looking for 1-2 specialist dentists for our clinics at the Hospital in Nyköping and at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna. Some work at our clinic in Katrineholm/Kullberska sjukhuset may also be relevant. There are good commuting opportunities via excellent infrastructure, trains, and highways to Specialist Dental Care at Mälarsjukhuset/Eskilstuna or Nyköping from Stockholm, Örebro, Västerås, and Norrköping.

A Unique Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Specialist Dental Care at Mälarsjukhuset is one of our largest clinics. Currently, approximately 46 employees work across departments specializing in periodontology, oral prosthetics, bite physiology, pediatric dentistry, orofacial medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral radiology, and endodontics. Within our organization, there are currently three specialist dentists in orofacial medicine, one of whom is going on parental leave. Therefore, we are seeking a replacement for a permanent position.

We hold interdisciplinary meetings every week where all disciplines participate to discuss various patient cases. This offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge from experienced colleagues in treatment planning. It is a highly rewarding forum with an open atmosphere where everyone can contribute their expertise and experience.

New Facilities and Research Environment

Our premises have been completely renovated with state-of-the-art equipment and four new operating rooms. We prioritize the continuing education of dentists, hygienists, dental nurses, and receptionists to provide highly specialized dental care to the residents of Sörmland. Several of our dental nurses have already undergone further training within their disciplines. We also provide specialist training in oral radiology and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Through our close collaboration with the Center for Clinical Research Sörmland, there are excellent opportunities for those interested in research. We currently have two doctoral students in oral prosthetics conducting award-winning projects, as well as four dentists with PhDs working at the clinic.
