Healthcare Leader/Nurse for Stroke and Medicine Department
We are looking for a driven and responsible healthcare leader/nurse for a fixed-term position on our stroke and medicine department at Kullberg Hospital in Katrineholm.
About Us
We are a stroke department that is documented as one of the best in Sweden. The care we provide has been mentioned for two consecutive years by Riksstroke, a national quality register in which we are active. We are very proud of these mentions, and in 2023, we reached our goal and were named Stroke Unit of the Year 2023.
We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, discharge coordinators, rehabilitation staff, and medical secretaries.
Your Role Here
Here, you have the opportunity to combine clinical work with leadership in an operation characterized by high competence, patient focus, and close collaboration between different professions.
As a healthcare leader, you have a central role in daily operations and work to ensure good and safe care for our patients. You act as a support for employees in their daily work and contribute to developing the quality of care and work processes.
You should be curious, flexible, and able to adapt to varied work and pace. To ensure you get the best possible start with us, we offer individually adapted onboarding. We also have a stroke nurse available as support, as well as a nursing assistant with extended responsibilities. We support and help each other!
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily care work on the department.
- Act as a support for nurses and other employees in clinical and organizational matters.
- Participate in patient care and contribute nursing expertise.
- Collaborate with doctors, rehabilitation staff, and other professions to ensure person-centered care.
- Handle incoming synergies on the department in consultation with the unit manager.
- Act as the responsible nurse for medication on the department.
- Plan and conduct introductions for new nurses and students.
- Instruct employees in, among other things, the handling of medical technical equipment.
- Assist in creating job descriptions, routines, and instructions for the department. Ensure current routines are up to date.
- Be responsible for medical technical materials/equipment.
We place great importance on personal suitability. The healthcare leader has close collaboration with the unit manager.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You have experience working in medical inpatient care, preferably stroke care. You have good collaboration skills and a professional approach.
You are a flexible person who appreciates a varied workday with the opportunity to learn a lot in the job. You are structured, solution-oriented, and confident in your professional role. You have an interest in leadership and operational development.
It is important that you find it easy to collaborate with different professions, are open to changes, and feel confident in your professional role. We place great importance on personal qualities and the ability to be responsive and make efforts where the need is greatest.
Employment Type
Fixed-term position with start date by agreement, with the possibility of permanent employment in the future. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
