Dietitian for Region Sörmland – Inpatient Care and Mälarsjukhuset
Do you want to contribute to further developing the dietitian's role in inpatient care within Region Sörmland? Then this is the right job for you!
We are looking for a dietitian to join our wonderful dietitian team, who wishes to become part of a curious, forward-looking dietitian group with a high level of camaraderie.
About Us
Primary care and specialist care dietitians in Sörmland are organized in a dietitian organization belonging to the County Clinic Paramedicine Sörmland. Paramedicine consists of 300 employees, of whom approximately 45 are dietitians.
We work based on the principle that "quality comes before quantity." This means we strive to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and nutritional treatment, working according to a clear prioritization order. The primary care unit and the specialist care unit each have their own dietitian manager with close collaboration, making us a strong dietitian organization. This offers opportunities to change your role over time. Your direct supervisor is a licensed dietitian.
You will sit at the dietitian unit together with 14 dietitian colleagues. You will have close collaboration with all dietitians in the region; there is always someone available for you to discuss with, both within and outside your treatment/diagnosis area.
Welcome to a workplace where you make a difference every day!
Benefits
- Flexible working hours.
- Health allowance of 5,000 SEK.
- Opportunity to rent staff housing.
- Priority access to housing in housing companies.
We actively work with development and our own competence development. In Sörmland, there are good opportunities for development through courses, training, supervision, and research via the Centre for Clinical Research. Our employees are also offered a range of benefits via the benefits portal Benify.
You have the opportunity to manage and set up your own schedule. You have a clear job description for the position.
Your Responsibilities
We are looking for a dietitian who will work towards specialized inpatient care at Mälarsjukhuset. We aim to develop the dietitian's work on the acute care ward, where the dietitian has previously only acted as a consultant. The work also includes collaboration with other wards.
You will meet patients on the ward, participate in rounds, and can be involved in the coordination when patients are discharged from the hospital. You prescribe enteral nutrition for inpatients and can recommend parenteral nutrition. You may also conduct staff training on the wards.
At the dietitian unit, there are assessment tools such as bioimpedance, where you can measure patients' body composition. This can serve as a basis for assessing malnutrition or the risk of malnutrition.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Within the dietitian unit, we work county-wide with routines, guidelines, patient materials, etc. Dietitians have access to nutritional value calculation programs. Prescription of dietary supplements is done via the prescription portal Mediq.
Your Competence
We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian and who are happy to share your knowledge and receive knowledge from your colleagues. The work with patients is independent, so you need to feel secure in planning and structuring your work on your own initiative.
We value security in work and the group. If you are new to the professional role, we always offer an introduction. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and want you to share our curious approach to educational matters and development areas. Our work is based on evidence-based guidelines and an ethical code of conduct.
